The Godavari is raging again. Due to the effect of low pressure, heavy rains are falling and the flood is flowing from above. At Bhadrachalam, Godavari is flowing furiously hour by hour. The authorities have issued a second danger warning as it reached 50 feet this morning. At present, the flow of 12,51,999 cusecs in Godavari at Bhadrachalam continues, officials said.

Most of the bathing ghats of the Bhadradri temple were submerged due to the upsurge of the Godavari. CS Someshkumar issued orders to Collectors and SPs of other districts including Bhadradri Kothagudem and Mulugu. According to Chief Minister KCR’s instructions, the people of the river catchment area should be alerted and ordered to move them to safer areas. The flow of water from Sriramsagar project to Bhadrachalam is increasing.
On the other hand, as the water level is rising in the Dhavaleswaram project in Rajamahendravaram, the first emergency warning is likely to be issued. Currently, the water level at the barrage has reached 11.20 feet. The barrage lifted 175 gates and released 9.9 lakh cusecs of flood water into the sea. AP Disaster Management has alerted the flood affected zones. The people of the inland areas should be alert and the officials have been advised to move them to safer areas.
