Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy gave good news to the poor people of the state. On Monday, CM Jagan virtually launched the ‘YSR Kanti Velam’ phase 3 program at the CM’s camp office in Tadepalli. In this phase, eye examinations will be conducted for 35,41,151 grandparents. For this, 376 teams have been formed across the state. On this occasion, CM Jagan said that in the third phase, they want to conduct exams for the rest. For this, it was ordered to prepare activities for field level tests. Also, orders have been issued to focus on conducting dental examinations.. to prepare activities for this. On this occasion, the officials provided details to CM Jagan about YSR’s Kanti Valvam. Through Dr. YSR Kanti Velam Phase-1 and Phase-2, screening tests have already been conducted for 66,17,613 students in 60,393 schools. Of these, 1,58,227 students have been given spectacles and 310 have undergone surgery, officials said. As part of Phase-3, screening tests have already been completed for 24,65,300 grandparents who have crossed 60 years of age. Of these, more than 8 lakh people have been provided with spectacles. He said that another 4,70,034 people have undergone cataract surgeries. In this context, in the third phase, the remaining candidates will be examined at this stage. Eye screening tests will be conducted for grandparents at village and ward secretariats. As part of this, 35,42,151 people above 60 years of age will be examined. For this, micro action plans will be prepared in 26 districts and screening program will be organized with 376 teams. The government has set a target to complete this program by August this year.
