Jagan Sarkar gave good news to the poor in AP. Instead of the cheap rice that is being given now, it is expected to provide snacks to the poor. Now the focus is on that. It is thought that the distribution of sorghum and ragu, which was stopped three years ago, should be started again. It is known that UNO has declared 2023 as the Year of Cereals. However, the Center is working towards promoting small grains. States were instructed to distribute these through ration shops.

That is why the Civil Supplies Department is collecting details like district wise area, yield and how much to collect. They are in the process of collecting the details of how many families are willing to take these among the total ration card holders.. and how much is the demand. The government intends to give ragi and sorghum at the rate of 2 kg to each ration card family. Pamphlets explaining the health benefits of consuming these small grains are being distributed to poor families who have cards.

They are taking signatures on the documents asking them to agree to take 2 kg of ragi and sorghum instead of 2 kg of the rice they are currently taking on the card. The commissioner ordered to implement this program through village and ward volunteers across the state. The Commissioner of Civil Supplies Department said that a survey is being done on the distribution of snacks to the card holders.. It will be completed this week. On the whole, the government is preparing to distribute small grains to the poor.
