When a user searches the company’s search engine for a piece of clothing from a specific store -such as Anthropologie, Everlane, H&M and LOFT, among others- Google now gives the option: “Try On”, in which You can see the garment that is chosen in the different types of bodies.
Its AI generative model is capable of displaying the selected clothing in the different models by accurately reproducing the drape, folds, wrinkles and shadows of the garment.
The models, all real women, as long as they are able to model the clothes without trying them on. For now these 40 women only display the clothes in a frontal pose, but the company will increase the number of poses in the future.

Users will also be able to save the model that most represents them in their browser for future purchases.
For now this option is only available for female models, but “later this year” this option will also be available for men, who will also be able to choose from 40 body types.
The company said in a statement today that “although clothing is one of the most searched shopping categories” users are not always happy with their purchase – 42% of online shoppers do not feel represented by images of models and 59% feel dissatisfied with an item they bought online because it turned out differently from what they expected- and that with this new tool they intend to improve these statistics.
