Like last year, the Made by Google event is being held in New York City this time. The event will be live-streamed on YouTube, starting at 7:30 PM in India.
Two new Pixel phones are expected at this year’s Made by Google event. Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro phones are said to be released this time. In addition to this, Google is also said to unveil the second generation Pixel Watch 2 on the same occasion.
Although both the phones are expected to retain the same design this year, it is estimated that there may be some subtle differences. Instead of a curved display, this year’s Pro model is said to have a flat display like the vanilla model. The Pixel 8 series is expected to be powered by the third-generation Tensor G3, Google’s in-house chipset. Additionally, both the smartphones are said to come with Android 14 out-of-the-box.
Apart from that, the Pixels are also rumored to get some camera upgrades this time around. The Pixel 8 Pro may feature new 64MP ultra-wide sensors. But the Pixel 8 is likely to come with a 12.2MP version. Both the phones will have new software features. The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are said to have slightly upgraded battery capacity. While the Pixel 8 has a 4,485mAh battery, the Pixel 8 Pro will have a 4,950mAh battery. Both models support 20W wireless charging.
