Kolkata. There was a huge uproar at night in the doctor rape-murder case at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata. There was a huge protest on the streets of Kolkata at midnight. But under the pretext of this protest, goons created such a ruckus in RG Kar Medical College that the police had to resort to lathi charge.

Actually, on Thursday midnight, some unknown miscreants entered the government RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. Police said that the miscreants vandalized the part of the hospital where the body of a female doctor was found last week. This incident took place amidst the protest of women against the rape and murder of the doctor in the hospital (RG Kar Medical College).
According to the police, about forty people entered the hospital premises (RG Kar Medical College) as protesters. They vandalized the property and pelted stones at the policemen present there. After which the police force had to fire tear gas shells to disperse the crowd. In this incident, a police vehicle also overturned and several two-wheelers parked there were also damaged. Some police officers have also been injured.
After the incident, Kolkata Police Commissioner Vineet Goel visited the area. After this, he said that he is looking into the matter. He also claimed that a malicious media campaign has worsened the situation. He said, “What did the police not do to solve this case? But a malicious media campaign is going on.”
