Govt vaccines more than 1.8 crore people: Federal Government


More than 1.8 crore people across the country have been vaccinated against Govt. 14 lakh vaccines were given in the last 24 hours alone.

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare:

As of 7 am today, more than 1.8 crore people (1,80,05,503) across the country have been vaccinated against Govt. This includes 68,53,083 health workers (first time), 31,41,371 health workers (second time), 60,90,931 frontline staff (first time), and 67,297 frontline staff (second time).

So far, 2,35,901 people over the age of 45 have been vaccinated and 16,16,920 over the age of 60 have been vaccinated.

About 14 lakh (13,88,170) vaccines were vaccinated across the country in a single day yesterday (March 4), the 48th day of vaccination.

Of the 16,081 sessions, 10,56,808 beneficiaries (health workers, frontline staff) were vaccinated with the first dose and 3,31,362 health workers and frontline staff were vaccinated with the second dose.

Meanwhile, six states of Maharashtra, Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi have reported high incidence of new corona.

Of the reported vulnerabilities in the last 24 hours, 84.44 per cent (16,838) were reported in the above areas.

Maharashtra had the highest number of cases in the country at 8,998, followed by Kerala at 2,616 new infections and Punjab at 1,0871 cases in the last 24 hours. The level of vulnerability is increasing in eight states.

The total number of victims in India today stands at 1,76,319 today. This is 1.58 percent of the confirmed infections so far.

In Kerala, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal, the number of current victims has decreased in the last 24 hours.

In the last 24 hours, 18 states and union territories have lost their lives due to the Govt.
