The European Football Association (UEFA) announced in a statement on Friday that the ban on Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann had been reduced from two matches to one, after he accepted the appeal submitted by the Spanish club.
The 30-year-old Griezmann was sent off in Atletico’s 3-2 defeat at home to Liverpool in the Champions League last month and was initially suspended for one match, which was later tightened.
The French player missed the return match against Liverpool, which his team lost 2-0, and therefore he has already served the penalty and will be available against his guest Milan in the group stage on Wednesday.
The Spanish team is third in Group B with four points from the same number of matches, eight points behind leaders Liverpool. Porto comes second with five points.
