The Peruvian cumbia ensemble Team 5 celebrated its 51st anniversary with 3 massive concerts at the National Stadium, leaving its mark on the history of local music. The events, which took place in April, not only demonstrated their roots and popularity, but also generated revenue that was a source of speculation. According to reports from ‘Magaly TV, la firma’, the amount would be an astronomical figure, which reflects the indisputable success of the band led by Christian Yaipén.
How much did Group 5 raise at their concerts for their 51st anniversary?
The concerts of Team 5, held on April 5, 6 and 7, managed to attract more than 150,000 attendees in total, according to data provided by the production. Tickets, whose prices varied between 59 and 394 soles, allowed a wide range of fans to enjoy the show.
‘Magaly TV, the firm’ estimated that the total collection of the 3 days would exceed 20 million soles, a figure that shows the drawing power of the Monsefuana group and that was also greater than that of the events offered in 2023, in the San Marcos Stadium, on the occasion of its 50th anniversary.
What expenses will Group 5 have to face after their presentations at the National Stadium?
Although the amount raised has been notable, Team 5 also faces a number of significant expenses related to organizing events of such magnitude. Among the most relevant costs are the rental of the National Stadium (S/250,000), the hiring of security personnel, sound and lighting technicians, as well as the logistics of transportation and accommodation for the members and the technical team (S/750,000 ). In addition, the production of the concerts requires an investment in scenery, special effects and state-of-the-art equipment to guarantee an unforgettable experience for attendees, whose expenditure was S/500,000.
Finally, you must also pay 20% of what you receive to the Peruvian Association of Authors and Composers (APDAYC).
