Growth in the number of self-employed persons in the Netherlands continues, especially among young people

Despite the war in Ukraine, the subsequent energy crisis, rising inflation and sharply higher interest rates, the labor market performed particularly well in 2022 with a record number of vacancies, extremely low unemployment and rising wages. This year promises to be a bit grittier with more clashes over higher wages and slightly rising unemployment.
