Josep Guardiola, coach of Manchester City, confirmed that the competition for the league title is not over yet, although his team controlled the conflict by beating Arsenal this week.
And the British news agency “BA Media” reported that Manchester City beat Arsenal 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday, to reduce the gap between it and Arsenal to two points, with two matches remaining for it.
Manchester City have a chance to take the lead when they face Fulham on Sunday.
The Manchester City coach said: “People are starting to say they have a feeling that things are over, but it is not over. It will end when the league ends, and the league is not over.”
He added, “We still have seven matches. Every game we play for special things. For our opponents and for ourselves. We have to play our way.”
Nathan Ake will miss the match as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury, but the club hopes that the player will recover before facing Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals next month.
Guardiola said :”He’s better, looks fine. Symptoms are good. But he still hasn’t participated in training with the team, but I think this won’t be long.”
