Food safety officials conducted inspections in hotels in Guntur. When the managers of the hotels in the bus stand center and Bradypet areas of the city checked the fridges, they found meat stored in them. Even the fridges were dirty. Moreover, the inspection of the officials revealed that colors are being added to the chicken beyond the limit. Due to this notices were issued to the managers of the hotels. Officials said that it was found in the inspections that the managers of the hotels were using synthetic food colors. They said that colors should not be mixed beyond the limit and cases will be registered against those who do not follow the rules. The food safety officials have been intensifying their raids for some time now. Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam were also searched. Food safety officials raided hotels, restaurants and snack shops. Managers found that used oil was used repeatedly. Cases were registered against some shops and fines were imposed. Moreover, the authorities have sent Total Polar Meter (TPM) to all the offices to detect adulterated oil. When checking the quality of oil with the help of this meter, if it registers above 25 points, it can be said that it is harmful oil. Actions are being taken if anyone uses oil against the rules.
