250 snow fans to keep cool in the hot weather

250 mist fans have been installed in the courtyards of the Holy Haram to provide relief to the pilgrims from the scorching heat. These are fans that spray fine water particles. This was aimed at cooling the open courtyards of the harem. Fans reduce the air temperature by spraying water particles and cooling the air. Water is sprayed out through ultra-small nozzles of one to two microns in size. When water is sprayed under high pressure, the water comes out in the form of mist through the nozzles in the fans. 38 inch diameter fans are installed in the courtyards of the harem at a height of up to four meters from the ground level. The wind from the fans can reach a distance of 10 meters. Officials informed that these will reduce the outside air temperature up to six degrees. The fans are operated during prayer times, when the harem courtyard is overcrowded and when the temperature rises.
