Hanneke and Gilbert are shocked: 700 euros for disabled parking, which is free in other municipalities

Gilbert (61) and Hanneke (60) Verboom have lived in Woerden since 1989. Due to a nasty illness, the lower part of Hanneke’s right leg was amputated last June. Since November last year, the Woerdense has been walking with a prosthesis. And that takes getting used to, says her husband Gilbert. The couple is in possession of a parking ticket for the disabled, which allows them to park the car in any disabled parking space.
