A video has surfaced of molestation and misbehavior with a foreign girl on Holi in Delhi. In the video, a group of boys are seen forcibly playing Holi with a Japanese girl. Not only this, eggs were also broken on the girl’s head. During this the girl is looking upset. In some media reports, this video is being told of Paharganj in Delhi, however, its location has not been verified yet.
At the same time, in the case, the police has written a letter to the Japanese Embassy, in which it has been asked to take action against the accused boys. Delhi Police said that till now no complaint has been received in this matter. The Central District Police is probing it.
On the other hand, Women’s Commission Chairperson Swati Maliwal has sent a notice to the Delhi Police and demanded registration of a case against the accused in the matter. He said that it is a matter of great shame that such an act was done to a foreigner on the day of Holi.
Girl came from Japan to India to play Holi
According to media reports, the girl had come to India from Japan to play Holi for the first time. This video was shared by the girl herself and was later removed from the account. But now the video of the incident is becoming increasingly viral on social media.
It is seen in the video that some boys are holding the girl around and forcibly putting color on her. She is saying no-no. Meanwhile, a person breaks eggs on his head.
The girl is saying bye-bye. Despite this, the boys are seen misbehaving. As the Japanese girl starts to leave, a man tries to catch her. In such a situation, the girl even slaps him.
Swati Maliwal said – will not leave anyone
Expressing her displeasure over the video, Swati Maliwal tweeted – My blood boils every time I watch this video. Come what may, I will not spare any of them, we will make sure one of them reaches behind bars.
Colored balloons were also thrown at Muslim women.
A day before, a similar video surfaced from Delhi, in which some people were seen throwing colorful balloons at Muslim women on Holi. This video was tweeted by a person named Mir Faisal.
Swati Maliwal had expressed her objection on this incident also. Retweeting the video, he wrote – Another video is going viral on social media, in which videos of Muslim women are being forcibly made by hitting them with balloons and colours. The beautiful festival of Holi is a festival to share happiness with each other, not for such cheap acts.

This incident has come at a time when matrimonial site Bharat Matrimony released an ad on Holi two days back. It was shown that there is violence against women while playing Holi, so many women have stopped playing Holi. The ad also displayed a message – This Holi, celebrate Women’s Day and choose to keep them safe.
