Hawraa Al-Ajmi and Fatima Khasif win gold in the Asian Karate Cup

Karate team players, Hawraa Al-Ajmi and Fatima Khaseef, won the gold medal in the “Kumite” competition in the first edition of the Asian Cup for Adults, which was unveiled today in the Kazakh city of Almaty. Hawraa Al-Ajmi’s gold medal came in the under-50 kilogram category, defeating the champions of Iran, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. Fatima Khaseef won the 68-kg gold medal, after defeating the champions of Kazakhstan, Iran, and Kyrgyzstan.

The President of the Emirati and Asian Federations, and Vice President of the International Karate Federation, Major General Nasser Al Razouqi, praised the achievement of the two national team players, and said in press statements: “Both Hawraa and Fatima succeeded in achieving gold, after a distinguished performance by the two players, in a continental tournament in which participation is limited to internationally ranked stars.” ».
