Heavy liquor seized from YCP leader’s car

Police seized a huge quantity of liquor from the car of the ruling YSR Congress Party leader at Khajipet in YSR district. The task force police seized 50 cases of liquor from the car of Shivaram, a social media convener of Brahmangarimatham mandal. The police conducted checks at Khajipet after receiving information that Karnataka liquor was being smuggled from Bangalore to Brahmangarimatha. On this occasion, the liquor in the car was seized. The police found that Sivaram’s couple was also present in that car. Sivaram’s couple is being taken to Kadapa SP office and is being interrogated secretly. Excise officials estimate the value of seized liquor to be more than Rs 20 lakh. Full details regarding this incident are yet to be known.
