Delhi. It has been raining in Delhi-NCR since Friday morning. The cold has increased due to rain. It is raining heavily in many areas and light rain is occurring in many areas. The temperature has dropped. The main reason for the rain is said to be the active Western Disturbance.
According to IMD, there will be dense clouds throughout the day on Friday and there is a possibility of light to moderate rain. There may be rain with thunder and lightning. The maximum temperature can be 20 and minimum 11 degrees. According to IMD, there is a possibility of rain on 28th and 29th December also, an alert has been issued by IMD in this regard. There will be light to moderate rain in Delhi during the day and moderate fog may occur at many places.
According to IMD, snowfall is continuing in the mountains and meanwhile a fresh western disturbance is moving in the form of a trough in the westerly winds at lower levels. Due to which heavy moisture will come from the Arabian Sea as well as the Bay of Bengal on Friday and Saturday. Due to this, heavy rain and hailstorm has been predicted in 10 states including Punjab and Haryana. This will increase the cold further.
The Meteorological Department had predicted heavy rain along with storm on 27 and 28 December. According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature will also increase by about 3 to 4 degrees during this period. After this it will reach 11 degrees whereas the maximum temperature was predicted to be 23 degrees. There will be dense fog from 29th to 31st December and during this period once again a drop in maximum and minimum temperatures will be recorded.
