Motorists and pedestrians faced severe difficulties due to heavy rain while going home from offices. A car overturned on PV Expressway. Due to this, the traffic stopped heavily. Khairatabad, Lakdikapool, Begumpet, Paradise, Dilsukh Nagar, LB Nagar, Vanasthalipuram, Kothi and other areas experienced heavy traffic jam. The people of the city suffered a lot.
Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Panjagutta, Khairatabad, Mehidipatnam, Ameerpet, Erragadda, Madapur, Gachibowli, Chandanagar, Pathan Cheruvu, Uppal, Nagol, Dilsukh Nagar, Kothi, Amberpet, Nacharam and other places received heavy rain. Traffic staff and GHMC staff entered the field and took steps to clear the flood water.
Hyderabad Meteorological Center has announced heavy to very heavy rains in the city for two more days. GHMC was alerted in this context. DRF and Monsoon teams have been alerted across Greater Hyderabad.
GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi suggested that people should be alert in view of heavy rains in the city. The GHMC has appealed that people should not come out of their homes unless there is an emergency.
