Heavy rain has been continuing in the district for the last three days. Due to rain, Badrinath National Highway and State Highway have been blocked at many places. Due to this, movement has come to a complete halt at many places. The commuters are facing a lot of problems. Badrinath National Highway has been closed at many places.

The Badrinath National Highway has been completely blocked due to debris falling at many places due to heavy rain. The roads were closed due to debris near Bhanerpani (Peepalkoti), old Nagar Panchayat Peepalkoti and Chhinka; which have now been opened. The Badrinath National Highway has been closed due to debris falling in Kanchen Ganga Nala. The blocked highway near Paagalnala and Helang has also been opened for movement.

Due to heavy rains, the drain near Lambagad on the Badrinath Highway overflowed. Due to this, a large amount of debris came on the road with the fast flow of water. Seeing the fast flow of the drain, the administration stopped the passengers at Badrinath Highway and Pandukeshwar barrier as a precaution. After this, the work of opening the road was started. After about half an hour the highway was opened. Let us tell you that the Meteorological Center has issued a rain alert for the next three days in many parts of Uttarakhand.
