Hero Electronics forays into connected devices in India

New Delhi. Hero Electronics, a technology company of the Hero Group, is planning to launch smart sunglasses as well as action cameras, to create a new connected device ecosystem. A top executive of the company gave this information on Wednesday.

The brand has expanded its smart home device lineup with two new products – the Cubo Smart Cam 360 and the Cubo Smart Door Lock.

Nikhil Rajpal, CEO, Hero Electronics told IANS, “In the last one year, we have seen an 8x growth (YoY). We have sold around 75,000 devices and these devices are completely made by us. We are launching new cameras with different uses but in future we will be adding new devices like smart sunglasses along with action cameras.”

The expansion comes at a time when the need for affordable connected smart devices is increasing in the country.

Priced at Rs 2,890, the AI-powered Smart 360 Cam is a good addition not only to smart homes but also to small offices and business establishments, ensuring round the clock security and complete peace of mind.

Rajpal said, “At Qubo, in the long run, we aim to build products across smart home, automotive and health. With our new product launch today, we complete the smart home portfolio. Our core principle throughout is to put together globally competitive products with AI and support the Indian environment.”

The Qubo Smart 360 Cam will also be available through offline outlets and major e-commerce portals including Amazon and on Qubo’s own website.

The Cubo Smart Door Lock will come in two variants. The price of Kubo Smart Door Lock Black will be Rs 13,990 and the price of Kubo Smart Door Lock Ultra will be Rs 22,990.

With the launch of Qubo home security cameras, Hero Electronics said that it is committed to the vision of launching more than 10 smart products in the home automation, automotive, entertainment domains over the next two years.

The company said that it is expanding its Qubo range of products to meet the needs of the entire gamut of Indian consumers, including early adopters and new adopters of the smart home ecosystem. (IANS)
