Desk. Lebanon’s terrorist group Hezbollah has carried out a major rocket attack on Israel. Shortly before this, Israel had attacked several areas of Lebanon targeting Hezbollah. After the attack on Israel, Lebanon’s terrorist group Hezbollah said that it has avenged the killing of its commander killed in Beirut.
After this attack by Hezbollah, the sound of sirens is being heard continuously in the Israeli area bordering Lebanon. Hezbollah said that Israeli military bases have been targeted in this attack. However, where the attacks took place will be announced later. Hezbollah said that it is targeting the Israeli army barracks and Iron Dome.
Hezbollah said the attack was the first step in retaliating for the killing of top commander Fuad Shukr, who was killed in southern Beirut last month. The Israeli military said Hezbollah had fired more than 150 drones and rockets toward Israel in the past hour, most of which were aimed at northern Israel. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said they had received intelligence about the attack, after which Israel carried out air strikes in Lebanon to prevent Hezbollah attacks.
Hezbollah said the attack targeted a major Israeli military site, to be announced later, and also hit several enemy sites and barracks and Iron Dome platforms. After the attack, the Israeli military wrote on Twitter, “We target terrorist infrastructure, they target civilians.”
