The Telangana government has allotted 4935 yards of land in the Banjara Hills for setting up a party office in Hyderabad district. The land, which is worth over Rs 100 crore in the open market, has been allotted for just Rs 100 per yard. This place is very close to Telangana Bhavan. The place is located at No. 12 NBT Nagar, Banjara Hills Road. Maheshwar Raj has filed a petition in the High Court challenging the government’s decision.
Opposition groups called for the beleagured PM to resign. While there is already a party office in Banjara Hills, PCC Working President Mukesh Gowda had earlier alleged that the allotment of land in the same place for the district office was a TRS land grab. He commented that this was an example of sporadic land grabbing in the state.
