From 1983 to the 2019 assembly elections held recently, only TDP candidates were successful here. NTR twice, Harikrishna once, Balayya twice contested from the same position and won. Now there is a campaign that Nandamuri’s successor is eyeing such a position. Nandamuri Tarakaratna (Tarakaratna) toured Hindupuram constituency.. this campaign gained strength. There is a discussion on this in the party.. in the political corridor.
However, if Nandamuri Tarakaratna really contests from Hindupuram, there is a discussion whether Balayya (Balakrishna) will sacrifice that seat. If Tarakaratna chooses the Hindupuram constituency, there is also a discussion about where Balakrishna will contest from. In this constituency Nandamuri Tarakaratna has become a priority for extensive touring. During his visit, Tarakaratna went to the house of CC Venkata Ramadu, a former legislator of the Telugu Desam Party. He was honored with a shawl. Spent a long time there.
CC Venkataram won the 1999 assembly election. Despite being a sitting MLA, he did not get a ticket in 2004. In place of Venkataram, TDP fielded Pamishetti Ranganayakulu. In the election, YS Rajasekhar Reddy survived and got a great victory. Now Palmishetti is not in TDP. He resigned from the party and joined YSRCP along with his sons.
No matter how Hindupuram’s politics are hot, now the Nandamuri Tarakaratna competition is being discussed. In the past, there was also a campaign that he would contest from Gudivada. Now the name of Hindupuram is heard. It seems that if Ekavesh Tarakaratna contests from Hindupuram, there are chances of contesting from Balayya Krishna district or from Guntur district. With this, there is interest that Chandrababu will take a decision on the competition of these two.
