Apply it at least 15-20 minutes before stepping out in the sun, as it takes some time to absorb into the skin. Reapply sunscreen after every four hours. It helps prevent and treat skin pigmentation.
Coconut oil is an excellent skin care ingredient that has many medicinal properties. It helps in removing dead skin cells and protects from the sun’s harmful UV rays. Take coconut oil and massage it well on the affected skin so that it penetrates deep into the skin layers. After applying, leave it on the affected area for about 20-25 minutes so that it gets absorbed into the skin. Then, wash your face with lukewarm water and apply it at least thrice a week for best results.
Potatoes are known to be rich in anti-pigmentation properties. They work as a miracle cure for pigmented areas and blemishes. For this, cut a potato in half and dip the cut part in water. Then, rub these potato slices on the problem areas in a circular motion for 10 minutes. After, wash your face with lukewarm water. Repeat this process two to three times a week to get rid of dark spots on the skin.
Sandalwood helps lighten hyperpigmentation spots. For this mix sandalwood and rose water to make a smooth paste. Apply this paste on the face and leave it for about 15-20 minutes. Wash it off with lukewarm water when it dries. Apple cider vinegar contains polyphenolic compounds that are beneficial in treating hyperpigmentation. You can apply it daily.
