Lucknow. A major accident has occurred when a private school van carrying children to school overturned on Shahid Path in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, early in the morning. About 6 children have been injured in this accident. Out of which the condition of one child is said to be critical. He has been admitted to Medanta Hospital.
The rest of the children have also been sent to another hospital for treatment. According to the police, this accident happened due to the tyre of the school van bursting. The incident is said to have happened between 7:30 am and 7:45 am. According to the police, about 10-12 children were sitting in the school van. About 6 children have been injured in this accident. Out of which the condition of one child is said to be critical.
Two children have been admitted to Medanta Hospital while four children have been admitted to Lohia Hospital. According to the police, five children have suffered minor scratches. Sushant Golf City Police Station in-charge said that a private school van was taking the children to their school. Suddenly the front tyre of the van burst and the van lost balance and collided with the divider.
The school van was taking the children to CMS Gomtinagar school. While trying to save the school van, the Thar vehicle coming from behind also lost control and collided with the divider. According to the police, there was no collision between the Thar vehicle and the school van. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southern) said that the condition of the 9-year-old girl is critical. She is being treated in the ICU of Medanta Hospital. The remaining 6 children have been sent to their homes. The school van driver has been taken into custody by the police.
