Pakistan. A terrible attack like Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir has taken place in Pakistan. On Saturday evening, January 4, a massive explosion occurred in a moving bus in Balochistan. A passenger vehicle and a police vehicle were targeted in this suicide attack. About 8 security personnel have died in the explosion in the bus. While more than 40 others were injured. Most of the injured are security personnel.
Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has taken responsibility for this attack. The blast took place in Dhang area of Turbat when the suicide bomber targeted a passenger van and a police vehicle parked nearby. After the massive explosion, panic spread in the surrounding area. It is being told that most of the people traveling in the passenger van were security personnel.
After the blast, a quick response team of security forces reached the spot and cordoned off the area. The rescue teams have shifted the injured and dead to local hospitals. The condition of many of the injured is said to be serious. A statement issued by the BLA said, “Majeed Brigade Firdai (suicide bombers) of the Baloch Liberation Army today carried out a suicide attack on the convoy of the occupying Pakistani army in Turbat. Many army personnel were killed in this attack. Our organization takes responsibility for this attack.”

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of Pakistan Armed Forces, recently informed that security forces conducted a total of 57,775 military operations in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces in the year 2024. These figures show that the security situation in Balochistan remains very challenging.
