Due to the fire that occurred at TPP-1, doctors suspended hospitalization of patients in the city hospital of the Zheleznodorozhny district of Ulan-Ude. This was announced on Thursday, December 23, by the Minister of Health of the Republic, Evgenia Ludupova.
CHPP-1, where the accident occurred, supplies heat and hot water to Zheleznodorozhny, part of the Soviet and part of the Oktyabrsky districts of the capital of Buryatia.
“As of today, the planned emergency aid is organized in the same mode, only the Railway Hospital is now excluded from the routing. In the Railway Hospital, both emergency and planned hospitalization has been suspended from today until the situation normalizes, ”she explained.
According to Ludupova, city polyclinic no. 6 and city polyclinic no. 1 also found themselves in the zone of limited heat and hot water supply.
“We are working with them now, in addition to them, machines have been sent to serve patients at home, and the necessary heating means have been fully provided,” the minister added.
There are eight healthcare facilities in the CHPP-1 zone; doctors are working out a plan for routing patients to medical facilities where there are no interruptions in heating. The republican social rehabilitation center for minors also fell into the zone of restricted heat supply.
“In case the temperature drops in the building, additional heating devices will be delivered. If necessary, we plan to transfer children to another institution, ”added Anatoly Kirillov, Deputy Minister of Social Protection of the Population of Buryatia.
In total, according to the operational headquarters, 137 houses and 22 social facilities were left without hot water and heat.
On the fact of the state of emergency at CHPP-1, the prosecutor’s office of Buryatia began to check. Investigators opened a criminal case. Earlier on the same day, the mayor of Ulan-Ude, Igor Shutenkov, reported on the preparation by the authorities of temporary accommodation centers for residents whose houses may be left without heating after the accident at CHPP-1.
The accident at the combined heat and power plant in Buryatia occurred on Thursday night. According to the authorities, it was caused by a short circuit with a further fire in the electrical wiring. The Emergencies Ministry employees promptly liquidated him. The area of the fire was 60 sq. m., there were two fires. Nobody was injured as a result of the accident. Repairs at CHPP-1 have already begun.
After the incident in Ulan-Ude, an emergency situation on a republican scale was declared. Now operational headquarters are working at the scene of the accident and in urban areas.
