DUBAI: The Dubai Municipality has announced that the Dubai Safari Park has been closed for three months due to rising temperatures. The park was closed to protect the animals in the park from the intense summer heat and to ensure their health.

The municipality took to Twitter to say that this was a good season for the safari park. But a short summer vacation is essential to protect the health of the animals. The municipality said it would meet again in September. During the closure of the safari park, the animals will be accommodated in specially prepared areas adjacent to the natural habitat. During this time, the Dubai Municipality said it could upgrade services at the park, improve animal habitats and make necessary repairs.
The 119-hectare Dubai Safari Park is home to 3,000 species of animals, including 78 species of mammals, 50 species of reptiles and 111 species of birds. There is also an Arabian Desert Safari in the park, which is divided into African Village, Asian Village and Explorer Village.

The park reopened on September 27 after a summer vacation last year. This time, the park has special facilities for visitors to get acquainted with the animals, their lifestyles and their care. Special animal keepers were also deployed for this purpose.
