“At first the doll was only going to stand as a static advertisement,” said Jorge Rodríguez, businessman and owner of the restaurant, in an interview with La República. The decision to incorporate him into the sketch, Rodríguez says, was made by Carlos Álvarez.
How was Pio’s Chicken created?
Pio’s Chicken was founded at the end of 1999 by Jorge Rodríguez from Chiclayo, who after studying administration left his land to look for new opportunities in the capital.
