Bangalore: An audio of a single ruling party minister talking about how BJP rule is going has been exposed and has sparked controversy.
Karnataka State Law Minister JC Madhuswamy. An audio of the conversation between him and social activist Bhaskar has been leaked. Their conversation details the differences of opinion among the ruling party ministers in Karnataka. At one point, Minister Madhuswamy said, “Karnataka government is not functioning. The party is only taking steps to retain power till 2023,” he says.
Madhuswamy also alleged that the Minister of Cooperatives is not working for the welfare of the farmers. The Karnataka Congress Party shared the audio clip on its social media pages.
In this case, Cooperative Minister SD Somasekar said, “Action can be taken only if there are witnesses of wrongdoing. Action cannot be taken without conducting a proper investigation. The Karnataka government is not a creep as the Law Minister says. Perhaps he has told about the grievances in his department?” He replied that.
Bribery Complaint and Criticism: Bhaskar, a social activist speaking to Law Minister Madhuswamy, lamented that “cooperative bank officials are demanding bribes from farmers to renew their loans. They are demanding Rs 1,300 for a loan of Rs 50,000.” Minister Somasekar is silent,” he says.
Madhuswamy says, “Government is not happening here. There is a mindset that if you just hijack the government for 8 months, the election will come.”
Basavaraj Tommy was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Karnataka in July 2021 last year. In this case, Minister Madhuswamy’s speech has created a problem for the Basavaraj regime.
