Social taxi appeared as a measure to support elderly citizens and people with limited health problems who have difficulty traveling on public transport. The car is equipped with special devices that make the road more comfortable and safe.
The cost of such a trip is partially reimbursed by the state, and in some regions the service is provided free of charge. WWII veterans and large families can also use it.
According to the established rules, you can take with you one capable accompanying person and rehabilitation equipment – a stroller or crutches. If necessary, the driver will help you get in and out of the car. Also, if necessary, he will provide first aid.
Social taxi in 2023 – where you can get there
By social taxi you can go to work or school, visit any government agencies, for example, the Pension Fund and the Social Insurance Fund, as well as clinics, train stations, airports, cultural sites and many other places.
In addition, you can take a taxi to a nearby sanatorium on a voucher or to a dacha (in Moscow – no further than 250 km from the city).
It is worth considering that travel time per month is limited. Unused hours are not cumulative.
Social taxi in 2023 – how to order
The car is called a few days before the intended trip by phone or through the Social Taxi mobile application. Muscovites can also use the Moscow Transport application.
You need to take with you a social card, a passport and a document confirming the benefit – a pension certificate or a certificate of disability.
The car can be recognized by the inscription “Social Taxi” and the logo with a white flower on a green background. Applications are accepted daily from 8:00 to 20:00, seven days a week.
Social taxi in 2023 – how much it costs and how to pay
For residents of Moscow, a trip by social taxi within the city will cost 210 rubles per hour, in the Moscow region – 420 rubles per hour.
You can pay the driver in any convenient way. In particular, a social card or special coupons with a limit of 15 and 30 minutes, which are issued by the All-Russian Society of Disabled People.
