Arrangements are being made vigorously for the Merimata festival in Gunadala. NTR District Vijayawada Deputy Commissioner Vishal Gunni inspected the arrangements for Gunadala Mary Mata Utsavas to be held on 9th, 10th and 11th of this month. Vishal Gunni explained that special arrangements are being made to prevent any untoward incidents from happening during the festival.
Further, the police revealed that they are imposing traffic restrictions in Vijayawada city on the 9th, 10th and 11th of this month in the background of Gunadala Marymata festival. Lakhs of devotees are expected to participate in the three-day event. In this background, the police are making heavy security arrangements. Also, traffic restrictions will be in force in the city from 9th to 12th of this month in view of Mary Mata festival. Buses going from Vijayawada via Eluru Road will be diverted from Vijayawada Bus Stand to Swarnahotel Junction Christ Rajpuram, Ramavarappadu via Mahanadu Junction via Autonagar. Buses coming from Gannavaram Autonagar via Eluru Road will be diverted to the bus stand.
Officials have announced that the bus will be diverted from Ramavarappadu via Gannavaram Auto Nagar to Machavaram Police Station via Bandar Lakku PCR Junction. Further, 6 areas have been arranged for the parking of vehicles of the devotees coming to the Gunadala Mary Mata festival. Road between BRTS at Maduranagar bridge.. St. Joseph High School ground, Zion Bible College ground, ESI Hospital ground, Dr. YSR Medical College ground are advised to park.
