FC Barcelona concluded the 2023-24 fiscal year with net losses amounting to 91 million euros, the management of the Catalan entity reported in an extraordinary meeting.
Barcelona also announced that the regular result of the last financial year generated a profit of 12 million, despite losing more than 100 million due to the transfer of the first football team to the Luis Companis Olympic Stadium.
However, the club had to bear 141 million in exceptional pre-tax expenses during the year 2023-24, mainly due to not receiving financial obligations that were due from some of the company’s investors (Bridgeburg Invest SL), which acquired 49% of the (Barça Vision) in 2022.
On the other hand, the club also announced a “historic record of income from sponsorship contracts” of more than $210 million.
The administration also described the collection of “more than 80 million euros” from the sale of Ousmane Dembélé, Franck Kessie, Nico Gonzalez, Abdel Samad Zalzouli, Shadi Riyad and Marc Guyot as “record gains from player transfer deals.”
The administration highlighted a reduction in the wage bill of €170 million, which went from €670 million to just over €500.
Regarding budget expectations for the 2024-25 season, the club expects sponsorship profits to reach 250 million and regular profits to reach 5 million.
