Sol. Major South Korean carmakers Hyundai Motor and Kia have sold more than 100,000 electric vehicles in the United States over the past two years.
A total of 101,976 Hyundai and Kia cars using the electric global modular platform (e-GMP) designed specifically for EVs were sold across the state from December 2021 to October 2023, news agency Yonhap reported.
The two companies have put four E-GMP-based models on sale in the US since the Ioniq 5, Kia’s EV6 and Hyundai’s Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6 and Genesis GV60, with the first model developed on E-GMP hitting North America in December 2021. Started in American.
