New Delhi: Former wrestler Mahaveer Phogat, father of wrestlers Geeta and Babita Phogat, wants actor Aamir Khan to voice his support for their struggle.
BJP MP and President of Indian Wrestling Federation Brij Bhushan Charan Singh has been accused of sexual harassment by 7 people including famous wrestlers Vinesh Phogat and Sakshi Malik. A case has been registered against Brij Bhushan Charan Singh in this regard.
Women wrestlers continue their protest at the Jandar Mandar ground. In this case, former wrestler Mahaveer Phogat, father of wrestlers Geeta and Babita Phogat, has expressed his wish that actor Aamir Khan should voice his support for their struggle.
In an interview given in this regard, he said, “I don’t expect support from any of the celebs. But I expect it would be great if Aamir Khan posts a tweet in support of our protest.” He also said that Babita will support this protest. But Babita Bhogat, who has joined the BJP, said the wrestlers should carry on their struggle alone. He advised that there should be no political interference in it.
