Patna: “If we win in Bihar, we can win across the country,” said Congress National President Mallikarjuna Kharge. Kharge said this while speaking to the Congress party workers before the meeting of opposition leaders in Patna.
Several state chief ministers and leaders from various parties have gathered in Bihar’s capital Patna to forge unity among non-BJP leaders in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Leaders from 18 parties have participated in this meeting held on the invitation of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Congress National President Mallikarjuna Kharge and former Congress President Rahul Gandhi have gone to Patna to participate in this meeting.
Mallikarjuna Kharge addressed Bihar Congress workers before the meeting of opposition leaders. Then he said. “Bihar alone cannot be separated from Congress ideology and policies. If we win in Bihar, we can win across the country,” he said. He further appealed to the volunteers to put aside all differences and work for victory to protect the country’s constitution and democracy.
Speaking after him, Rahul Gandhi said, “BJP is nowhere to be seen in the states of Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan. The party has lost its influence.”
