Former coach of the Russian national football team Boris Ignatiev advised striker Artem Dzyuba to try his hand at coaching. Thus, the specialist reacted to his possible transfer to the Turkish Adana Demirspor FC.
In his opinion, as a coach, Dziuba will be in demand among domestic clubs.
“Of all the evils, the offer of Adana Demirspor is the most acceptable. His former partner at Zenit, Yaroslav Rakitsky, is just playing there. Artyom will simply adapt. The Turkish club offers good money, why not go?” Ignatiev said in an interview with Sport24.
Earlier in the day, the sporting director of Turkey’s Adana Demirspor, Gökhan Gekturk, said the club had made an official offer to Dziuba. According to Sport-Express, the salary in Turkey for Dziuba will be €1.5 million.
According to REGNUM, after two rounds of the 2022/23 season of the Turkish Super League, Adana Demirspor is in first place. The team includes Italian striker Mario Balotelli and ex-defender of Zenit Yaroslav Rakitskiy, and the head coach is Vincenzo Montella.
In addition, the Federal News Agency writes, in addition to Adana Demirspor, Dzyuba is interested in the Turkish Grand Championship – Istanbul Basaksehir. As Life.ru notes, his conditions provided for a lower salary.
33-year-old Artem Dzyuba left the St. Petersburg FC Zenit after the end of the 2021/22 season, recalls NSN. He has been playing for the team since 2015. In its composition, he won the championship and the Super Cup of Russia four times, twice became the owner of the Cup of the country, writes RT.
Before Zenit, Dzyuba played for Rostov, Tom, and from 2006 to 2015, for Spartak Moscow, of which he is a pupil, the kp.ru website writes.
As the Zvezda TV channel notes, Dziuba is the top scorer in the history of the Russian championships and the top scorer in the history of the Russian national football team.
