An unverifiable source has shown what they claim is a photo of the box of a new MacBook Pro not yet announced. An image on the Chinese social networking site Weibo suggests that the event will at least include a MacBook Pro. As shared in Twitter/X by the filter ShrimpAppleProthe image shows a box with a typical image in the style of Manzana of a MacBook Pro, but no details at all. The design agrees with previous work by Manzana, and there are no obvious signs of alterations in the image. Based on the thickness of the base, it appears to be a MacBook Pro instead of another update of the Macbook Air.

There are very recent rumors about a MacBook Pro with M3 that would launch in October, but until Tuesday’s reversals, the consensus is that it wouldn’t ship until 2024.
