Rendered images of a new generation Lada Niva SUV appeared on the Behance website on July 20. The author of the project is the Russian designer Tokhtar Abdrakhmanov. These are sketches that show what the next generation model might look like.
The car received off-road tires, narrow LED headlights, video cameras instead of rear-view mirrors, wide wheel arches and additional body protection.
The author of the project noted that in addition to the Niva itself, he was inspired by the Smena camera and the BelAZ truck.
The new generation of the Russian Lada Niva SUV will appear on the market in 2024.
Presumably, the car will receive a high ground clearance and a full-fledged all-wheel drive system with a downshift range.
The new Lada Niva will be comparable to the five-door version of the current SUV. The length will be 4280 mm (40 mm more than the five-door Niva Legend). The wheelbase of the model is 2600 mm.
The car will receive a 1.8-liter gasoline engine with 122 hp, as well as a turbocharged 1.3-liter Renault unit.
On July 12, it was reported that in Togliatti, on the territory of the Scientific and Technical Center (STC) of AvtoVAZ, a camouflaged unknown car was photographed.
The car was transported on a trailer in a special tight cover. The model cannot be identified.
