New Delhi: Mumbai-based Clnmark has invented a nitric oxide drug that can be used to treat people affected by the corona virus infection. The drug was tested in 3 phases in 306 vaccinated and non-vaccinated people with symptoms of corona at 20 locations across the country.
In high-risk corona patients, the nasal spray reduced the incidence of viral infections by 94 percent within 24 hours. A 99 percent reduction in 48 hours was reported in a study published in The Lancet Regional Health Southeast Asia.
Corona patients can self-inject nitric oxide nasal spray 6 times a day. The results of this treatment carried out over a period of one week were evaluated in this experiment. The study was carried out when delta, omicron infection increased. Similar results were found in both vaccinated and non-vaccinated groups.
Nitric oxide medicine blocks the entry of the virus through the nose and kills the virus inside. This drug also prevents the virus from multiplying.
As a result, the impact of the virus is rapidly decreasing, according to this study. This treatment with nitric oxide nasal spray is considered to be the most important contribution in the management of corona.- PTI
