In the case of deliveries to Kyiv of American infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) Bradley and French tanks, Washington and Paris will cross another red line, which will lead to a new escalation of the conflict. This was announced on January 5 by Tino Krupalla, co-chairman of the Alternative for Germany (AFD) party.
“Together with this delivery, our NATO partners are crossing another red line. Russia can mobilize more troops and use even heavier weapons in Ukraine,” he said on the AFD website.
Krupalla noted that peaceful negotiations instead of escalation would be the right way. In this regard, he called on the German government to exert a de-escalation influence on the United States and France.
On the eve of January 4, US President Joe Biden confirmed that Washington is considering the possibility of supplying Bradley infantry fighting vehicles to Kyiv. This technique is designed to transport infantry and scouts. Its operation allows you to increase ground combat capabilities.
On the same day, Andriy Yermak, head of the office of the President of Ukraine, confirmed that France would supply Kyiv with AMX-10RC wheeled tanks and Bastion armored vehicles.
At the same time, it was reported that French President Emmanuel Macron, during a conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky, promised to supply Kyiv with AMX-10RC wheeled tanks.
According to French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna, the supply of tanks to Kyiv allegedly will not make Paris an accomplice in the conflict. At the same time, readers of the French magazine Le Point criticized Macron’s decision.
Moscow has repeatedly pointed out that pumping Western weapons into the Kyiv regime only prolongs the conflict and brings NATO closer to the dangerous mark of a direct confrontation with the Russian Federation.
Thus, on December 27, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov pointed out that Western countries were deliberately pumping the Kyiv regime with the most modern weapons in order to aggravate the nature of the conflict in Ukraine and drag it out as long as possible.
Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Ukraine against the backdrop of a Russian special operation to protect Donbass. The decision was made by Russian President Vladimir Putin against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian military.
