As a result of the shelling of the Kherson region by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), the gas pipeline in Kakhovka was damaged. This was announced on the night of Monday, January 23, by the press service of the Kakhovka military-civilian administration (VGA).
“Ukrainian terrorists shelled Kakhovka once again tonight. The blow fell near the hospital. The gas pipeline was damaged,” the VGA Telegram channel says.
It is emphasized that this is not the first attempt by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to inflict a targeted strike on a medical facility.
On the eve it became known about the death of a civilian resident of Kakhovka during the shelling of the city by Ukrainian militants. Another woman was injured in the explosion and was taken to the hospital.
Earlier on the same day, it was reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had attacked five settlements in the Kherson region since Saturday evening, firing at least 40 shells at them.
On January 20, nationalists opened fire on the territory of Kakhovka. Izvestia correspondent Emil Timashev showed the consequences of the blows. The footage shows that the building of the kindergarten, as well as residential buildings, was damaged as a result of the attack. Some houses had their roofs blown off.
Russia’s special operation to protect Donbass, whose residents refused to recognize the results of the 2014 coup d’état in Ukraine, continues. The decision to hold it was made against the backdrop of the aggravated situation in the region due to increased shelling by Ukrainian troops.
