The places of departed foreign brands in Russia will be occupied by about 30 department stores of the new format – several trade brands will be presented in one space. On September 23, Izvestia was told about this by the owners of the Telegraph and Slava (Magic Group) stores, who plan to occupy new areas.
Telegraph expects to open eight department stores, Slava – 20.
“The demand for opening department stores in the shopping center has begun to grow rapidly, we receive three or four applications a week, which is a lot. We see interest in this format throughout Russia: in Moscow, Krasnodar, Sochi, Yekaterinburg, Voronezh and other cities,” said Nikolai Konstantinov, founder of Telegraph.
Department stores will be opened on the site of foreign brands that have decided to leave the Russian market, Konstantinov specified to Izvestia. Telegraph will open in Moscow at Outlet New Riga instead of a Nike store, and in the Sofia shopping center – at the site of H&M.
The founder of the Slava network, Alexander Peremyatov, spoke about plans to open a store on September 24 at the Ambar shopping center in Samara in place of Bershka.
