In response to the statements made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during an interview with Al-Arabiya/Al-Hadath earlier today, Saturday, the British Foreign Office stressed that what it described as the Russian aggression on Ukraine is barbaric and totally unjustified.
She told Al Arabiya that Britain will work with the allies to ensure that those responsible for all violations that occurred on Ukrainian soil are held accountable.

She also stressed that the Russian operations on Ukrainian territory are a barbaric and unjustified attack against a sovereign, democratic state.
“We will work with our allies to ensure that those responsible for the atrocities are held accountable.”
In a detailed interview with Al-Arabiya, Lavrov stressed that his country was not in hostility or war with the West, stressing that the leaders of NATO countries were the ones who lined up against his country.

Stop the supply of weapons to Kyiv
He also explained that the military operation launched by his country on Ukrainian territory came in order to protect the population in the Donbass region and other regions in eastern Ukraine, after years of violations, as he put it.
He also urged Western countries to stop supplying Kyiv with weapons, considering it aggravating matters and obstructing the solution, stressing the right of Russian forces to target any arms shipments on Ukrainian soil.
It is noteworthy that since the launch of the Russian operation on the territory of the western neighbor on February 24, Britain, as well as other European countries and the United States, have lined up alongside Ukraine, showering it with weapons and equipment, while thousands of sanctions have been imposed on Moscow.
