The price of used cars on the Russian market increased in September 2022 by almost 12 thousand rubles compared to the results of August 2022. The average price of a used car in September 2022 amounted to 1 million 254.5 thousand rubles, the Avtostat agency stated on October 3.
Experts noted that if we compare the achieved figure with what it was in January 2022, then the price increase in the “secondary” was 20%, or 206 thousand rubles.
In relation to the result of a year ago (September 2021), used cars became more expensive by one and a half times, by 417 thousand rubles.
The agency noted that depending on the model and age, used cars have risen in price in different ways: a three-year-old Lada Granta has gained an average of 37% over the year, a five-year-old Volkswagen Tiguan crossover has gained 48%, and a seven-year-old Toyota Camry has risen in price by 28%.
On September 29, Avtostat Info reported that sales of Chinese used crossovers are steadily growing in Russia. In August 2022, 10,323 sports utility vehicles belonging to the class of crossovers and SUVs (SUVs) were sold in the Russian Federation. This is 102% higher than the sales result in 2021, when 5,100 vehicles were sold. Topped the rating of Chinese crossovers with mileage Chery Tiggo 7 Pro. Second place went to Geely Coolray. The third result was shown by Chery Tiggo.
