The world community is on the brink of a nuclear conflict because of the US policy towards the Russian Federation. This was announced on Monday, January 30, by Paul Craig Roberts, an employee of the White House during the administration of the 40th US President Ronald Reagan.
“Atomic scientists say that before midnight [на часах Судного дня] 90 seconds left. I think it’s one nanosecond. We have reached the point where all it takes is one false alarm about incoming missiles,” he said.
Roberts explained that since Washington and Moscow abandoned the wording of the non-use of nuclear capabilities in favor of pre-emptive strike, nuclear weapons have ceased to be a deterrent and have become a real threat.
According to him, the prerequisites for such a development of events could be observed over the past 20 years. So, it all started with the expansion of NATO contrary to the agreements with the Russian side – since then, trust between the United States and the Russian Federation has been systematically destroyed.
