Officials explained that while 384.31 lakh cases of liquor were sold in the state in 2018-19, that number has decreased to 278.5 lakh in 2021-22. In 2018-19, the government got an income of Rs.20,128 crore from the sale of liquor, but in 2021-22, the government got an income of Rs.25,023 crore, officials said. Also, ROFR should be applied to those who have abandoned the cultivation of ganja and cultivated other crops. They were ordered to provide the necessary assistance and conduct raids on the cultivation of ganja.
The Chief Minister suggested that ACB 14400 number should be visible everywhere in the state from village secretariat to collectorates, police stations to SP office. These boards should also be near the ration shops. It is suggested to give a new look to the sub-registrar offices and make them on the lines of passport offices. It has been directed to examine whether all the mining permits and licenses are being maintained by those who have obtained them.
On the other hand, the officials explained to the CM that all kinds of permissions have been received for the sale of red sandalwood in the state. They have prepared a plan to sell 2,640 metric tons between the months of October and March. It was ordered to follow the most transparent procedures in the sale of red sandalwood and to conduct an examination with a third party in grading.
