Govt has advised states and union territories where new vulnerabilities are on the rise to continue testing, monitoring and treatment.
Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan and Finance Commission Member (Health) Dr Vinod K Paul today held consultations with Health Secretaries of Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Union Territories of Delhi and Chandigarh, Managing Directors of the National Health Movement. .
Daily govt vulnerabilities are increasing in these states and union territories. The study was conducted on the public health activities, monitoring, control and management of these 8 States / Union Territories in the context of increasing number of patients being treated for Govt.
The impact was seen in 9 districts in Delhi, 15 in Haryana, 10 in Andhra Pradesh, 10 in Odisha, 9 in Himachal Pradesh, 7 in Uttarakhand, 2 in Goa and one district in Chandigarh.
Districts and Union Territories were asked to follow the best strategy of testing, monitoring and treatment followed during the height of the epidemic.
It was suggested to increase the number of trials and to give more vaccines to those who are eligible in the most affected districts.
