New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat. However, the team scored just 99 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. India chased down the target of winning by 100 runs.
Subman Gill, Ishan Kishan, Rahul Tripathi and Washington Sundar lost their wickets. Suryakumar Yadav played calmly till the end. He scored 26 runs off 31 balls. It includes only one boundary. Couldn’t see his usual action in this match. India scored 101 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 19.5 overs.
With this win, India have leveled the series at 1-1. The third and final match of the series will be played on February 1.
